BUCM’s 60th Anniversary Celebration --- Announcement 1
On September 10, 2016, the 32nd Teachers’ Day, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine will celebrate its 60th birthday.
At this moment in time we would like to extend our warm greetings and deep respect to BUCM teachers and students who have been working hard for its honor and advancement, to government officials and friends from all walks of life who have been giving their attention and support to BUCM, and to our dear alumni at home and abroad.
Rain or shine, BUCM has forged ahead in the past 60 years. Never stopping nurturing students, it has made brilliant history. Since its founding, the University has been playing important roles in inheriting and developing TCM, disseminating Chinese excellent traditional culture, and promoting health care for mankind. It adheres to the University motto “ Qin Qiu Bo Cai , Hou De Ji Sheng ” (Study Diligently, Make Use of the Strengths of All Others; Value Virtue and Benefit the Society by Practicing Medicine) and the management philosophy “constant pursuit of excellence”. It advocates learning, inheritance, and innovation and aims to cultivate students with morality and humanity. Being a pioneer, the University has become a teaching base for cultivation of high-level innovative TCM professionals, a model base for reform of TCM education, a research base for innovation in TCM knowledge and technology, a health care base for prevention and treatment of critical conditions and complex and miscellaneous cases, a humanity base for dissemination of Chinese excellent traditional culture, and an international exchange base for popularization of TCM to the world. With ease and confidence, it has been on its way to become a first-rate university with leading disciplines.
We would like to invite all of you to celebrate the grand occasion marking the 60th anniversary of BUCM in the golden autumn. The events aim to establish platforms and create opportunities for you to focus on academic issues and humanity, relive your memories, outline reforms and developments, and promote cooperation and exchange. The celebrations will be the commencement of the brand new journey of BUCM in the years to come.
